What areas of law do you specialize in?

I focus on employment, disability, and LGBTQ+ law. I also have experience in consumer protection matters. This means I can help with problems like unfair treatment at work, difficulties faced by people with disabilities, and protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals.

How much experience do you have in handling cases related to employment, disability, and LGBTQ+ law?

While I am a newer lawyer, I have been licensed since 2016. I have studied and understand employment, disability, and LGBTQ+ law well. I bring a fresh perspective and use my education and personal experiences to handle these types of cases effectively.

How do I know if I have a valid employment or discrimination claim?

Figuring out if you have a valid employment or discrimination claim requires looking carefully at your own situation. I offer a 30-minute meeting where we can talk about your case. After that, I can evaluate the strength of your claim based on the information you provide and your situation.

What types of workplace issues or disputes do you handle?

I handle many different problems that can happen at work. This includes discrimination based on things like race, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, or age. I can also help if you have experienced harassment, wrongful termination (being fired unfairly), not getting the right pay for your work, or need accommodations for a disability.

Can you assist me in obtaining disability accommodations in my workplace?

Absolutely. I know a lot about disability law, and I can help you ask for and get the reasonable accommodations you need at your job. Whether you have a physical or mental disability, I will work closely with you to make sure your rights are protected and that you have equal chances at work.

What legal protections are available for LGBTQ+ individuals facing discrimination?

LGBTQ+ individuals have protections under different state and federal laws. These laws make it illegal to discriminate against someone because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. I am passionate about fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, and I can help you understand and stand up for your legal protections.

How can you help if I've been wrongfully terminated or experienced workplace harassment?

If you have been unfairly fired or experienced harassment at work, I can provide you with legal representation. I will work with you to gather evidence and fight for you to get justice. This may include getting compensation for what you have been through and, if possible, getting your job back.

What steps should I take if I believe my employer has violated my rights?

If you think your employer has violated your rights, it's important to keep track of what happened. You should also report the violation to the right people within your workplace, if possible. It's a good idea to reach out to an experienced employment attorney like me, who can guide you through the legal process, explain your rights, and help you take action.

How long does it typically take to resolve an employment or discrimination case?

The time it takes to resolve an employment or discrimination case can vary. It depends on different things, like how complicated the case is, how cooperative everyone involved is, and how busy the court is. Sometimes, cases can be resolved faster through negotiation or mediation. As your attorney, I will work to resolve your case efficiently and keep you updated on progress.

What factors determine the strength of my case in terms of employment or discrimination claims?

The strength of your case depends on different things. This includes the evidence available such as written or recorded communication, images, how believable the witnesses are, the laws that apply, and the specific details of your situation. When we meet for the first time, I will evaluate your case honestly and tell you how strong it is based on the information you provide.

Are there any legal deadlines or statutes of limitations I should be aware of?

Yes, there are often specific deadlines and time limits that apply to employment and discrimination cases varying from six months to three years. These time limits can vary depending on the type of claim and where it happened. It's important to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible so you don't miss any important deadlines and can protect your rights.

What are the potential outcomes or remedies for employment or discrimination cases?

The outcomes and remedies in employment or discrimination cases can be different for each case. Depending on what happened, you may be able to get compensation for lost wages, emotional distress, and other damages. In some cases, you may ask to be hired again or get accommodations for a disability. The specific outcome depends on the unique details of your case.
